We are a community of online gamers that bring strategy and gaming to a higher level. Fun, excitement and pure enjoyment of gaming with our fellow members is our key goal here. Winning is the consequence of our actions.

FLY Swarm started off in 2002 as a C&C Renegade clan and later branched out into other games such as BattleZone 2 and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory to become a multi gaming clan. FLY Swarm was a successful clan and became rank 1 on the ClanBase ladder for C&C Renegade.

2002 July - <FLY> tag used in BattleZone 2 by GrassISGreen, InMySoup (Cerberus), OnTheWall (ZaMIaL) and Zarien
2002 September 18th - FLY Swarm created by Ranger (Transgressor) and Zarien (Website hosted and programed by Ranger, web design by Kryptonite and later LSK)
2002 September 26th - FLY Clan joins ClanBase C&C: Renegade ladder (Europe)
2003 February 16th - FLY Clan Rank 1 on the ClanBase C&C: Renegade ladder (Europe), 8 wins and 2 draws
2003 October 15th - FLY Clan joins ClanBase Enemy Territory Stopwatch ladder (Europe)
2004 July 2nd - FLY LAN Party
2005 March 22nd - FLY Clan joins ClanBase Enemy Territory Stopwatch ladder (Benelux)
2005 June 16th - FLY Clan Unranked and goes inactive on the ClanBase Enemy Territory Stopwatch ladder (Benelux), 5 wins, 5 loses and 2 draws
2005 June 19th - FLY Clan Unranked and goes inactive on the ClanBase Enemy Territory Stopwatch ladder (Europe), 15 wins, 15 loses and 4 draws
2006 September 18th - FLY Clan goes into hibernation

FLY Clan

Here at FLY no one is above anyone else in game, we just want to have fun and thats what we do. Sure you may be a better player, but you ain't smarter than anyone else. Flies by definition are pretty dumb, you spend half your life crashing into Windows the other half windows is crashing. Let's face it, we are really here to have fun, not get promoted so you can have letters after your name.

All current members of FLY can attempt to recruit new members. When a new application has been put in a vote will go up in the private section of the forum, so then all current FLY members have a say on new members joining. There is a pass limit on these votes of 75% of yes votes. The problem here is where you find a prospecting member and no other FLY has played with them. It is possible to be recruited despite this but if you break our rules here you will be asked to leave.

Although we have no leaders as far as gaming is concerned we still need to keep some order on our site and forums, we have 3 levels which are as followed;

FLY Developer - Simply put these are the FLY's who keep our site operational and make improvements when needed.
FLY Combatant - All current clan members on the roster can upload pictures to the gallery, post events on the calendar and have access to private tactics for each game FLY plays.
Community FLY - Being a member of this group means you can upload pictures to the gallery, post events on the calendar and some other special things! Please note this is not a clan user group.

FLY Clan Codes of Conduct

Once you have been scouted and asked to join FLY you will need to read, agree to, and follow the codes of conduct. A FLY knows that their conduct reflects on our members as a group. Members must realize that when they choose to join FLY that means that they will follow these codes. A FLY may choose to leave or be asked to leave if they do not follow FLY codes.

These rules apply to current FLY members and also note if you are trying to join FLY you must follow these rules or it could effect your chances of joining.

What we Do

- A FLY will keep in touch with emails and the forum. A FLY knows that communication is vital to the clan, as a consequence any member can be removed without warning after 100 days of either not visiting the forums or at least keeping in touch with someone via E-mail.
- We will try to brighten the enjoyment of all players in the game.
- We will strive to help new players learn to be better in both ability and attitude.
- We will be as courteous and honorable as possible at all times.
- Above all else, they will remember the point of gaming, which is to have good fun and a great time.

We Don't

- A FLY will not cheat/hack in games under any circumstances.
- Members of FLY may not be a member of another clan at the same time.
- A FLY knows that criticizing another FLY's ability will not be tolerated, this also goes for insulting other members.
- Members understand that FLY is not primarily out to win games and know not to take the game too seriously.
- Poor and immature behavior reflects poorly on FLY as a whole when you wear your tags.
- We understand to not let our pride win us over in disagreements, but listen as well.
- A FLY will not share information from the private sections of the site with non FLY members, this includes application votes.

About the website

This website is compatible with FireFox, Opera and Safari web browsers. The site also works in Internet Explorer for Windows and Mac but there are a few cosmetic bugs.

Our forums are powered by phpBB and the gallery is powered by Smartor (check the footer for copyright and links), there are also a number of mods installed.

The FLY Swarm logo is based on an origami paper FLY.
