It's free to play and you can pay for gold to buy shit and upgrade faster but ultimately all is achievable on a free account.

I paid for my 2 months premium as you get a boost to XP and cash earned and I like the dam game man ! I bust around in a heavy tank with a gun that shoots 4 times a minute and Soup play a long range artillery hiding in the corner pounding may targets, 3 shots a minute. He better not miss is all i can say!.

It's a game of patience, if you push with your tank you'll die as if an enemy spots you he shares the info with tanks in his range and all of a sudden your shot from 4 unknown directions. You can only see a certain range and if your enemy is in cover you have to be closer to spot him. So pushing forward slowly under cover is crucial. Or going nuts in the fastest tank on the field spotting enemies for your team whilst zig zagging those slow shooting arties.

15v15 game wins when enemy dies or you cap there base. It's a camp fest.

For those who just got got Cataclysm and are re rolling I reside on ~Auchindoun and have started a guild for Cata with my dumb brother.

With the aim of reducing play hours by being insanely pro and only raiding 2 times a week, 2.5 hours each time.

Starting with Blackwing in January. So if you are rerolling do it here. Monday and Thursday 20:00-22:30.

And I can't play SC2 with soupy unless its over t'internet so we have 200 pings etc. I can actually punch him quicker than my packets get there.

I have modern warfare 2 but err i'm just not good enough to be happy Getting old now. So I is back to waiting for a new installment of Populous!

I know, i didnt want to play an mmo really tried a few games and nothing really makes me interested at the moment.

FFXIV is going to be good although I wont be playing till friday as too much going on irl another reason i dont really want to play an mmo cause i know ill just suck again cause i cant play 24hrs a day

Still until a better game comes this is my winner right now.

I do have SC2 however and i am playing a bit, but only really the SP which is a bit silly as you have to connect to the net to play yet online play and sp dont appear linked.... very odd game

, don't get me wrong there, wow is still crap. But renegade got tooo old and dry and in all honesty I haven't picked up a game I liked quite as much. I prefer driving tanks and shooting stuff.

I do however think Demon's Souls is ... excellent. PS3 only and I don't own a PS3 .

My problem is if it's mmorpg I would only play when playing alongside someone so I need little soup to get it as well first.

edit - or ofc find a game we can play together, I see loccy in SC2 and I almost want to join but I still didn't buy it, too expensive for what I get which is too restrictive.

But i'm still looking for that game Ranger and I don't think FF will be it, not for a guild since people are on a server and a char levelled already, it just doesn't lend itself to a little bit of guild play like ET or Ren did, cause you can't just drop into servers and pwn.

edit edit as it goes guildwars was ok cause you could roll a top level char with the best gear for pvp play, create a team with 3 mates and go pew pew!

Well fine, i guess we all have an opinion, i like the idea that this will help me avoid cataclysm that and i just found a few really neat things about how the game plays in FFXIV certainly is one of those games where you are learning everything all over again.

Very cleaver game for sure, but i guess most that play games dont like to think too much (joke) but yea there are some really subtle things that i really do like about the game... heck everyone said wow was crap 4yrs ago and now look at you i'm just ahead of the game (no pun intended )

See you all in FFXIV in about 2years i guess

Personally, my view is 180� from Ranger's - i never managed to get into the game (in beta) and have absolutely no plans to buy the retail! IMO its a big pile of wank, but some people like playing in wank, and who am i to stop them!

Well taken about 2 weeks about probably 20 hrs of playtime but finally figured out how it all works....(now player level 15, rank 9 archer, rank 14 botenist and rank 8 carpenter so not too bad for speed of leveling) it requires lots of preparation such as recipes and planning (so you don't throw away materials you need as I was doing doh), but the execution can be solo or group.

End game (currently set to be rank 50) from what i've heard will involve "special" group quests that require killing a single or group of monsters for which all those that have the quest get the rewards... which seems better than most endgame mmo where you have to kill that damn thing 40 times to get everyone an item that wont always appear.

Anyhow, I just pre-ordered the collectors edition and intend to join the same server using the same name (thanks to SE allowing beta toons to carry over their names).

Hopefully see some of you playing, if not then I understand

For ref ill be doing Archer + Botanist + Carpenter + Leatherworker

Would be nice to have someone doing a mage with alc and weaving, hint hint beeb

Then just need a swordsman to tank for us with armourcraft

Easy mode seems to be marauder from what i'm hearing (basically smash stuff with a huge axe)

I would recommend looking on http://www.eorzeapedia.com for more info they are really getting the details up there fast (esp the wiki).

Its a bit different though, takes time to get used to after playing wow.... not sure if I like it or not yet
